We are proud to offer bulk billing for our ultrasound services, although please note that private fees apply for ultrasound guided services.

Visit the welcoming reception desk at Banksia Medical and Health during our operating hours, located at Unit 3/2 James Street. Banksia’s professional staff will be delighted to assist you in person, ensuring you have all the information you need and securing a suitable appointment slot.
Over the Phone:
Call Banksia Medical and Health on (08) 9071 1511. Banksia’s friendly reception staff will assist you to schedule an appointment over the phone.
By Email:
Send a copy of the referral with correct contact details to referrals@waves-sonography.com.au. Once received, our team will initiate a phone call to confirm an appointment time.
BY FAX:
Fax a copy of the referral to (08) 9071 3995. This option is ideal for healthcare providers who need to send referrals securely and promptly.
Patient Preparation
For some ultrasound tests, there are specific things you need to do before the procedure. Check out the details below. If you have any questions about getting ready for your ultrasound, don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
Abdomen
Abdominal ultrasounds require you to be fasted for 6 hours before your ultrasound appointment. Clear fluids may be taken over these hours along with any medications that you may ordinarily take.
Kidneys/Pelvis
A full bladder is required for assessment of the kidneys and pelvis. To achieve this first empty your bladder 1 hour before your appointment. Over the next half an hour drink 1 litre of water to be finished half an hour before your appointment time.
Obstetrics
Similar to kidney and pelvis ultrasounds a full bladder is required for obstetric assessments. Please follow the bladder preparation listed in the kidney and pelvis section for 1st and 2nd trimester ultrasounds, 3rd trimester ultrasounds do not require a full bladder.
